Ethan Van De Hey

Passionate Marketer & Podcast Host

I’m Ethan Van De Hey and I am the host of the Encourage Mindset Podcast. I’m part of the AI Apprentice program with Dennis Yu and BlitzMetrics, working alongside Dan Leibrandt and George Paladichuk. I have a huge passion for marketing! Whether I’m on stage, behind a mic, or at the booth, I’m all about building real relationships and growing brands through genuine community connection.

About Me

I’m Ethan Van De Hey, a marketing strategist, operator, and podcast host based in Greater Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I grew up in Kaukauna, Wisconsin, and everything I do today still carries that small-town, do-the-work mentality.

My mission is simple: motivation, marketing, and mindset. I believe the best marketing is not about vanity metrics or looking impressive online. It’s about real results, real conversations, and helping people and businesses unlock their full potential. I am a rare combination of operator and strategist. I do not just advise on campaigns from a distance. I run them, test them, and live in the numbers every day. I want to make the phone ring! PERIOD

A big part of my training came through the BlitzMetrics AI Apprentice program under Dennis Yu, one of the most respected names in digital marketing, who has spoken at more than 750 conferences and managed campaigns for brands like Nike, Red Bull, and the Golden State Warriors. I first reached out to Dennis in 2018, cold, as a college student, asking for mentorship and feedback. That relationship shaped the frameworks I use today, especially the Dollar-a-Day and E-E-A-T methods that put content and trust at the center of growth.

I hold an MBA from the University of Wisconsin MBA Consortium and a BBA from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Outside of marketing, I host the Encourage Mindset podcast, with more than 100 episodes on motivation, marketing, and personal development, featuring entrepreneurs, coaches, and industry leaders. I also share marketing and motivational content with a community of more than 7,000 followers on LinkedIn. Whether it’s a campaign, a podcast episode, or a post, is the same: real results over vanity metrics, and helping people unlock their full potential.

I joined Ethan for an episode of his podcast, and it was an absolute pleasure speaking with him. He guided the conversation naturally, often making me forget that we were actually recording an episode. We tackled a lot of topics that I believe will both encourage and motivate listeners, and I'm sure that Ethan's next guests will enjoy their time on the show as much as I did!

Marketing is the closest thing I’ve found to turning effort into momentum you can actually measure. What I love about it is that it sits right at the intersection of psychology, creativity, and math. One day I’m thinking about what makes someone trust a business enough to pick up the phone, and the next I’m in the numbers figuring out exactly which message moved them to do it. That feedback loop never gets old to me. I’m not chasing vanity metrics or likes that look good and do nothing. I care about the moment a real person reaches out because something I put into the world connected with them. At its core, marketing is just helping good businesses get found by the people who need them, and helping people see what’s possible for them. That’s the same thing that drives my mindset work too. When you do it right, marketing doesn’t feel like selling. It feels like building trust at scale, and watching the phone ring because of it.

Reviews / Recommendations

I would highly encourage anyone to be a guest on Ethan's podcast. I found the experience very refreshing as we covered important topics - like mindset and habits - that are the soft skills so imperative for business and personal success. Ethan was quite energetic, professional, heart warming, and really made me feel like we were having a fun, useful discussion together at the kitchen table! It's so encouraging to see a young guy stepping out beyond his comfort zone, building great relationships, and, no doubt, new friendships.
